Jean-Charles Lévy started as a financial consultant for Arthur Andersen before joining the French television network TF1 for 10 years, including 5 years as President of TF1 USA in Los Angeles. Amongst his various achievements during these years, he was the architect of the joint venture between TF1 and Miramax in France and responsible for the financing and production of TF1’s entire slate of international films during these years: FAR FROM HEAVEN (Julianne Moore, Dennis Quaid); THE CONTENDER (Jeff Bridges, Joan Allen, Gary Oldman); UNDER SUSPICION (Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman); …

In 2003, he created Forecast Pictures S.A.S., registered at the French Centre National de la Cinematographie both as a Production and as a Distribution company, mostly dedicated to international movie production and financing.

Initially a consulting outlet for independent producers looking for alternate investments solutions, Forecast has quickly developped into a full movie production entity, starting in 2006 with the 20 million Euros epic “O JERUSALEM” - based on the book by Lapierre and Collins which was released in the US by Samuel Goldwyn. Soon followed “WALLED IN” (2008), a thriller directed by Gilles Paquet- Brenner starring Mischa Barton and Deborah Kara Unger (Anchor Bay as Us distributor), and “CELLE QUE J’AIME” (2008) a french romantic comedy directed by Elie Chouraqui and starring Marc Lavoine, Gérard Darmon and Barbara Schulz.

“LULLABY FOR PI” (2009) was coproduced with Oscar winning Killer Films (Boys don’t Cry, I’m Not There) and Minds Eye Entertainment. The film stars Forest Whitaker (Last King of Scotland, Bird), Rupert Friend (Cheri, The Libertine), Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter, In Bruges) and Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break). In 2010 Forecast Pictures produced Julien Magnat’s “FACES IN THE CROWD”, starring Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil, Nikita, ...) and Julian McMahon (Niptuck, ...), released in the US by Millenium. ”THE TALL MAN”, directed by Pascal Laugier and starring Jessica Biel (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Valentine’s day, Total recall, …) is a 15 M USD movie, shot in Canada in 2011 and succesfully released throughout the world in 2012.

‘LOVE PUNCH’’ is Forecast Pictures’ latest production. Shot in the UK and France for a 13 M € budget, this romantic comedy is directed by Joel Hopkins and stars Emma Thompson, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Spall and Celia Imrie. The movie is in post-production and will be widely released in the summer 2013. Jean Charles Lévy also serves as executive producer on the Robin Williams / Mila Kunis starer, ‘ANGRIEST MAN IN BROOKLYN’.

In the autumn 2013, Forecast Pictures will coproduce with Quad (Intouchables) a movie based on the fench best-seller ‘’UN SAC DE BILLES’’ which will be directed by Olivier Dahan (who directed Marion Cotillard in the Edith Piaf movie ‘La vie en Rose’ , and Nicole Kidman in ‘Grace de Monaco’, …). Its current slate of developments include movies to be directed by Stephen Hopkins, Sylvain White, Saul Rubinek, David Marconi, Lionel Delplanque, Olias Barco, Pan Nalin, Tony Gatlif, …

Forecast Pictures is also partner in Trinity Media Financing, an innovative movie financing entity which cash-flows presales, soft-money throughout the world, GAP & SuperGAP.

Through almost a decade of production, Forecast Pictures has become one of the european players in international coproductions. Forecast Pictures has developed strategic partnerships with succesfull international producers such as Radar Films, Quad, Killer Films, Amber Entertainment, Dalka, Minds Eye, Solo Films, … as well as international distributors such as SND, Voltage, Stealth, Goldcrest, Sierra, WestEnd, … leading talents agencies (in USA, UK and Europe) and the most active moviefinancing entities throughout the world (banking and equity).

Thus allowing other producers and talents to benefit from its access to the most significant financial players in the market as well as its ability to attract quality/commercialy driven projects.
